T's gallery is finally back online. If you're familiar with the old one, you'll notice there is some new stuff alongside the old. Go take a look through, everything should load pretty fast. The gallery will be updated every once in a while, and I'll be sure to let you know when it is. I actually have a few things I forgot to put in there. After taking a visit, don't forget to say some nice words in the forums.
That's not the only gallery that is up. We now have a Coffee Time Read Art Gallery which you can get to from the main Coffee Time page, or the link just mentioned. There's a whopping two submissions in there. Yes, that's sarcasm, and no, it doesn't really bother me that we only have two. I'd say I'm more surprised and in awe that somebody would take the time to do that, but then tobias is an awesome artist. I look forward to seeing more.
I think it's safe to say that the bugs in my design have been worked out with Internet Explorer. If they haven't, or you've noticed I made something look worse, please let me know, but I think we're safe now. Next up, I'll start working on the store and marketing. With marketing I'm pretty sure I know what I need to do, but putting together a store...I have no idea. The fun never ends.
At least the major site design stuff is done and I can now concentrate most of my energy on the important stuff, the comics. I'm going to get myself back into a good writing schedule because that is something I've completely fallen out of. I'm pretty excited though because it's what I love to do(we would hope). The first stop is Across the Way. I've really got to immerse myself in the universe and fully understand what it is. I know what my story is, and I have a lot of it mapped out, so it's more about the approach and how to tell it. Tobias and I were recently discussing how different it is to do Across the Way. Coffee Time has become easier because we know those characters so well. So fixing my schedule is the biggest bug of them all. It'll happen this week.
I've better wrap this up for now. I'm about to head out to my buddy Ian's place. We're going to check out Lamb of God tonight. Hell yeah!
This week ends the first month of the new Coffee Time Comics. Man, already a month, but there's so much more to come.

On Friday morning Tobias and I were driving to get some carne asada at a little market we like to go to, an awesome place who were cool enough to give us some free chorizo on top of the meat we were already buying. I never had chorizo before. HIGHLY recommended. Anyway, as we were pulling out of the bank parking lot, we pulled behind some guy with the license plate "SCRNWTR". Now, this sort of thing always pisses me off, and I have a feeling that because I'm in LA County, I have to see it a lot more than most people. It isn't the fact that his license plate was saying something, it's the fact that he was giving himself a title that rubs me wrong. A pig farmer would most likely not put "PIGFRMR" on his license plate, because he knows that advertising that will do nothing for him, but the guy in the car ahead of me knew that letting everyone know that he's a screenwriter adds inches on to his penis. Especially in this area. Who knows if this joker was even a screenwriter, and if he is, a little modesty please. As hard as I try, I can't exactly figure out why somebody would do this, not unless he was hard up for getting laid. Why else would somebody do such a laughable thing? Maybe it's just not my personality, but I could never go around advertising myself like this. The only other people I see on a regular basis with plates like this are lawyers. I actually saw one a few weeks ago that spelled out "CRTRMQT", yes, courtroom cutie. I kept trying to get next to the car to see if this girl was actually cute or not. I just can't believe the gall of some people. That's like me getting a plate that says "WBCMCSTD", and no, that doesn't mean sexually transmitted disease. I guess if you're a writer and want to throw yourself in the same arena as lawyers, then so be it. I'm not stopping you, but I will make fun of you.
I couldn't just let "SCRNWTR" go. When he finally got into the right lane where i could ride up next to him I could only wish that I was in the passenger seat. Being the driver, I did the best I could by putting my dumb on and yelling as I drove by, "Hey dude, what's a screen water?"
I'm officially going to stop putting a schedule to the rest of the stuff I have to do for the website. I'm not done with Tobias' site just yet, but it's almost done. It'll probably be up in the middle of the week sometime, but I won't announce it until next week because I only like to do the news once a week unless it's an emergency. After I finish that up, I'll get on the Internet explorer bugs and just some general maintenance that I've wanted to do. Then I can open the store. And then...
Ya know, I have a sneaking suspicion that stuff is just going to continue to be as busy as it is right now. I keep thinking that it's going to get easier once I finish the next project, but then something else comes up. Oh well, I'm ready. If 2007 is all work and no play, then maybe there's a reason for that.
Let's hope.
Thank you for continuing to support Coffee Time Comics. I hope you're in it for the long run because I know we are.

There's only a couple things to go over this week. I'm hoping to have every part of the site worked out by the end of the month. Saying that, I'm probably dreaming.
The forums are back online, but unfortunately it was easier for me to start up a new message board rather than figure out how to bring the old one back. I got bored of going through the phpbb support forums. I'm sure the answer was probably really simple, but uhh, I'm not that smart so you have to take what you can get from me. If you have a few extra minutes, feel free to sign up and say hello. We look forward to hearing what our readers have to say, and not just about the site, but in general.
I guess there is a problem in Internet Explorer that I have to figure out. In fact if you're using it right now, you probably can't read most of this text. It will be fixed eventually, but since it isn't really effecting the comic, it isn't the highest of priorities. I would rather complete the site first, which brings me to...
Tobias' website should be up by next Monday. I still have a lot of new art to scan in, and a page to build, but it's going to be a pretty simple set-up. He actually just drew some nice stuff in the past few days, so look forward to some new work. Then next Monday I should be able to start on the store, and hopefully by March 5th we'll have a fully functioning website. And then I can take it easy. I hope.
Myspace:
You can be our friend here and get bulletin reminders form us that a new
page has been put online. This is also a good place to be connected to
us if the site goes down for any reason.
ComicSpace:
Basically the same thing as Myspace, but geared towards comic fans and
creators. I just set up our account and finished our page. I'm sure as
time goes by I'll spruce it up a little, but it's pretty cool. You have
the option to upload pages of your comic, which I will be doing only for
the current episode. I like that they give you the chance to put all your
pages on there, so if you're new to the scene and don't understand web
design, comicspace is a good place to start.
The Webcomic List - Coffee
Time or Across
the Way: This is another great place to sign up, add comics on as
your favorites, and get updates from them. If there are any takers, we
could use a review or two on there. It'd be appreciated.
Onlinecomics.net:
This is a website run by the same guy who does comicspace. Another place
to find comics and add them on as your favorite. You can also leave comments
around here too. I didn't put Across the Way on yet because I'm pretty
sure you need 10 pages of your comic online first.
ChoiceComics.net - Coffee
Time or Across
the Way: This is the last one I'll mention. It's a pretty cool place
to check out new comics, and review your favorites. Hint Hint...
That's what is going on this week. Hopefully next Monday i have toe good news of Tobias' gallery being alive and well. Untill then, thank you for reading!

It finally arrives, February 5th, the premiere of the new Coffee Time Comics! Hmm, that first sentence makes it all seem a bit too extravagant. But then, in the minds of Tobi and I, it really is. It's been a pretty crazy month, getting everything done right down to the last minute. But it's done, for the most part(more on this later), and it's ready for your eyes. I hope you all enjoy the new design. I decided to do the coding myself this time around so that I have more control over what I'm doing. Of course, I've never done this before, so that's why it took so long for the site to get going. I'm sure over the next few months little things will be tweaked here and there, but at least I can do that now.
First off, let's go over Coffee Time. As you can see from the first page, it has a new look. I'm loving it so far. I think Tobi is doing a fantastic job. Just wait for the stuff that is soon to come. It's not just the art that has changed, but the story. It's still continuing from last season, but the way Coffee Time reads and flows will be much different. Volume 2 has matured a bit and will have less of the slice-of-life type stuff going on, concentrating more on a complete story. This volume will play more like a graphic novel in it's size, and the episdoes are more like chapters. I don't think there will be too many new characters as there's already a pretty huge cast, but I can promise that I've written one that will be a big part of one of the storylines. Of course I can't get too into that, but it's a fun one(I hope). All-in-all we will keep it to the basic cast, and really concentrate on those characters growing.
I'm hoping some of you have gathered interest in our new comic, Across the Way, even though we haven't had a real chance to discuss too much of it yet. It's going to be quite different from Coffee Time in that it will be the story of one character. There is a good cast, but they are all pretty much supporting. The plan with this comic is to do a different character for each volume, if we get to do multiple volumes. Of course that's a big if because this is webcomics and who knows what the hell is going to happen.
We're going to be trying new things with it as we go, both with style and writing. We're at a better place now than when we started Coffee Time, but it always takes a bit to get used to your new characters and world. It kind of grows as it goes. I'm pretty excited to see exactly where that is. Just a little warning, ATW will be a bit darker with more mature themes. I'm not usually a gratuitous writer, so it won't be wall-to-wall sex and violence or anything. I don't know what to say really, but it's going to be fun.
Remember, please, your opinions are always welcome.
You probably have checked a couple areas of the site and realize that they aren't open yet. Well, I'm a snail when it comes to coding and I end up doing a lot of things wrong. So give me a couple weeks and everything will be in working order. Before I get into the rest of the site, just know that the reason some stuff isn't available in the Across the Way section is because there simply isn't content yet. That's all.
The Store - What exactly do we have to sell? Not much really. Not for a while. What we will have ready within the next month is a few wallpapers for your computer. Why would you buy that when you can get that kind of stuff for free all over the internet? I guess it'll basically be our donation button. I personally can't stand when you go to a site and you see people just begging for money. Yeah, they're doing a comic, but that was their decision. There's no reason people should feel the need to pay for something that has already been offered as free. so we thought the least we could do was offer you something for your money. Something you can only get if you pay for it. And of course it's not going to be expensive to purchase these. Hopefully some of you actually want Coffee time Comics wallpaper.
Tobias' Gallery - It's getting a makeover. His original site, which I still like, is just too much. I'm making the new one a lot simpler. You'll be able to flip through the art like you flip through the Coffee Time archives. There'll also be a lot of new stuff in there. You will all be looking at it within a month. I promise(while crossing fingers of course).
The Forums - I plan to have this figured out within the next few days. For some reason when I transferred everything to the new server, the forums didn't want to work. I don't know why. They really have nothing to do with Yahoo, so that shouldn't have happened. I'm sure it's an easy fix and it may even be fixed tonight if I feel up to looking at it when i get home. i just simply haven't had the time.
So that's it really. Everything else should be up and running. And if it isn't, please tell us. Just email us at "info at coffeetimecomics.com". Sorry for that, I'm trying to avoid spam bots at all costs. So that's the only favor i ask really. Let us know if shit don't work.
Thank you so much for coming back to us and continuing to support Coffee Time Comics. Seriously. Thank you.
