One Year Later

It's official, since last Wednesday February 6th, Tobias and I have been working on Across the Way & Coffee Time Vol. 2 for a year. Well, updating for a year and working on them for well over a year. Today also marks 100 pages for CT while tomorrow is 100 for ATW. Altogether we've produced just over 300 pages in the last two years. Sorry for all the back-patting and figures, but it's been a long road to get here. When I think of it though, where exactly is here?

The Comics

In regards to the comics, "here" is just a couple months from the end. Yup, the stories are wrapping up. Hopefully that's somewhat noticeable through my storytelling. If not, maybe I haven't learned all that much about writing in the last few years. What comes after these storylines are over? Is there life in these comics yet? Since they both wrap up at different times, I believe I will be writing a full retrospective on both in this section when they are completed. Our feelings on the future of these comics will be shared then.

Tobias & I

I think as long as the both of us are alive we will be working together. I just can't see not doing comics with Tobias. Maybe it's because we've been doing them together for so long now, but I think it's more than that. We've stuck it out through some tough periods of our lives, financially and mentally, and it never mattered that we weren't making a cent or getting the praise of...anybody. It only mattered that we worked out a way to do the things that we love to do, and in the process of that we've figured out that our visions fit pretty well together. I think my words will always be strongest when they are read alongside something Tobi created. I have no doubt that as long as we both promise to keep moving forward, our best projects are yet to come.

Of course, it's going to take time to get there. Our next project is a big one for us. We've been working on it on and off for a couple years now. It's time to get it done, and it's interesting that the time has come now. On May 19th, Tobias goes to boot camp. Yup, he's joined the Navy. And good for him. At least one of us will have a steady career. Seriously though, it's a great step for his future, and one he can take with pride. As for the comic we're working on? It's going to be interesting to do it long distance, but I'm sure we'll work it out, especially with this being the age of expanded communication. It's going to be pretty interesting to see where we can go with this project. It's very different, and very long. That pretty much means you won't be seeing it for a while. BUT YOU WILL BE SEEING IT! Someday.

The Website

As always, talk about the past inevitably leads to the future. I don't want to talk too much about the things to come for the website. I've done that before and I'm not quite sure what is going to actually pan out. For now, know that the current storylines will end in a few months, and after that this website will remain in some form or another. Thanks for sticking around so long and reading our comics. We really appreciate it.
